The Oldtime Stringband

The Oldtime String band was originally formed as a musical backdrop to a documentary about the cow-painter, Ruud Spil. Both the musicians and the audience enjoyed it so much that the band is now on a stampede.
The Oldtime Stringband not only plays Bluegrass and Old-Time music but is also inspired by American folk music from the 1940's and modern music with an Old-Time feel.
The Oldtime Stringband is:

	Here's our new CD: "Pretty Little Horses". Again recorded live and in the round, but this time by Tim Knol at the Mi5 Studios in Hoorn. The artwork is based on a painting by our very own fiddler and vocalist Lidewij de Vries. The CD can be ordered at theoldtimestringband.bandcamp.com.

	Our third CD "Cat's Got the Measles" was recorded live and in the round at studio The Church in Wijdenes. We want the front porch feel and don't like a lot of mixing. Listen for the foot stomping, clicks and clacks and other real sounds. The one difference on this new CD is that we asked our friends to meet us on the front porch for some jamming fun. 	Our second CD "Chicken Crows for Day" was recorded at Reyn Ouwehand's studio The Church in Wijdenes on 02/03/2014. Besides the regular CD release a special edition is available which comes with a litograph of a cow by Ruud Spil. This special edition will be limited to 100 copies (price EUR. 25.00).
